Campfire Pizza Roll-Up
Share
One of our favorite camping recipes is a pizza roll-up cooked in the fire. We love to cook our meals in the fire to help reduce clean up, and it just makes it more fun, especially for the kids!
Here’s what you will need:
- Tortillas
- Tomato/Spaghetti Sauce
- Mozzarella Cheese
- Pepperoni
- Any Other Desired Pizza Toppings
- Aluminum Foil
This super simple recipe will only take you minutes to make! First, lay out your tortilla and cover it with the sauce. I like to use around 2 tablespoons, but feel free to use however much you want. Next, cover the sauce with mozzarella cheese. I use a handful or two to make sure my roll-up is nice and cheesy. After that, top the roll-up with pepperoni. You can choose how much you would like to use, or none at all. These are the only toppings we regularly use, but I’m sure things like olives, pre-cooked chicken and bacon, and any other pizza toppings would work great and taste delicious!
Once your pizza roll-up is ready, roll it up like you would a burrito. Then, you will wrap your roll-up in aluminum foil. Make sure you wrap it will and make sure the roll-up is completely covered. Let your fire burn down to coals, and put your foil-covered roll-up in. Give your roll-up a few minutes on each side, then pull it out to check it. Since nothing you added was raw, you are more heating than cooking. So make sure your roll-up is warm and your cheese is melted, then you are ready to enjoy!
We hope you enjoy our pizza roll-up recipe as much as we do!
