Everyone has their own special ways to make s’mores, and that is part of what makes them so fun and delicious. Some may use Graham Crackers and a piece of Hershey’s chocolate, and others may use Keebler Elf Grasshopper Cookies. Any different toppings or cookies you may use are sure to be delicious, but we have an idea you will want to add into your s’mores rotation.
Our family loves caramel, maybe even more than chocolate! There’s nothing better than ooey gooey caramel. One way you can add this ooey gooey caramel into your s’more is to cook it with your marshmallow over the fire.
When you go to cook your s’more, first put the marshmallow on your roasting stick, followed by a chewy caramel. We like to use Werther’s Chewy Caramels, but any chewy caramel should work. Now, cook your marshmallow how you normally would. Once your marshmallow is cooked just how you like it, you are ready to go. Simply pull the marshmallow and the caramel off of the roasting stick together using your Graham Cracker or cookie. When you do this, the marshmallow should surround the caramel and pull it off with it, leaving you with a melty caramel inside your roasted marshmallow. That’s all there is to it!
