Hobo Dinner Hacks

Hobo Dinner Hacks

Eating hobo dinners cooked in a campfire is classic go-to dinner for many people while camping. No dishes and a delicious taste make them appealing in more than one way.

Even though hobo dinners can be easy to cook and clean up, they can take quite a bit of preparation, which is a hassle without a real kitchen or running water. We have a few hacks to make hobo dinners even easier.

1. Use a hamburger patty - Instead of separating ground beef into patties for your hobo dinners, use pre-made frozen patties. You can still use any seasonings you like to flavor them how you want.

2. Add half a can of Cream of Chicken Soup - Adding a can of Cream of Chicken Soup will help keep your hobo dinner moist and give it a little extra flavor. You can also replace the Cream of Chicken Soup with any other Cream of ____ Soups. Cream of Mushroom Soup is another one of our favorites!

3. Use pre-cut frozen carrots - It can be a pain to cut up all of your veggies when preparing hobo dinners. One way to make this a little easier on yourself is to buy a bag of pre-cut frozen carrots to use instead. They taste just as good but take away a lot of hard work.

4. Use frozen french fries - Along the same lines as the carrots, no one wants to take the time to cut up potatoes for their hobo dinners, so buy them already cut for you. We love to use steak fries because they are a little thicker and cook better in the fire.
